This camcorder is the latest from a series of cameras manufactured by Sony's professional group. Besides the normal features of a camcorder, this unit has 2 distinct features that are perfect for law enforcement surveillance. First, the built in memory stick. The memory stick allow you to take snap shots and save them on a small memory chip and easily insert the chip into a floppy disk adapter. The second, is the ability to record on the memory chip or the Hi8 recorder from an external video input.

When the 100mw laser is attached to the KSC-820 camera, it allows photos and video to be recorded in full darkness. The 100mw lasers range is about 100 yards. We install a beam diffuser on the end of the laser so that beam may be adjusted in size so that light may be varied in intensity. This helpful when shooting reflective license plates and other similar surfaces.

When greater distances of 100 yards need to be view, then the night visions amplifier and the laser may be used together for viewing the subject. Our tube comes with an 135mm lens and can be removed so that other lenses can be attached to the tube.

Relay lens. CCD camera to night vision tube. Our relay lens couples the CCD camera with the night vision tube. Our relay lens, unlike others available on the market place, automatically formats the picture in a normal rectangle instead of a round circle provided by others. Thus, more picture area is transferred to the recorder and to be viewed by the jury. It just looks normal.
